The Development Centre of the Heart of Slovenia has developed a new tourism product for the field of the Heart of Slovenia, namely caravanning.

Diversity of terrain, a network of hiking, cycling and equestrian trails, tasty cuisine, and a varied collection of a less known cultural and natural heritage promise interesting trips. The Development Centre of the Heart of Slovenia listed touristically attractive spots in the area, checked the possibility of visiting and motorhome parking, and created a network of existing as well as new stops and campsites.
 

As it was written in the Strategy of Development and Marketing of Tourism of the Heart of Slovenia as a Tourist Destination, we would like this area to become a motorhome-friendly destination. With this kind of tourism we partially save the shortage of accommodation capacity in the still-developing southern part of the Heart of Slovenia. At the same time, we offer our service in the countryside to a specific group of tourists in an innovative way.

In collaboration with the Caravanning Club Slovenia, whose members promote the development of caravanning in Slovenia, we are preparing acquaintance tours every year. Participants enjoy a diverse offer of the Heart of Slovenia.

All the contents in relation to this goal were implemented during 2011/12 within the scope of the project "Development and Promotion of the Trademark the Heart of Slovenia", which was approved on the tender LAG the Heart of Slovenia and is co-financed by the European Union.
