Open Educational Environment in the Forest

Project contents: Open educational environment in the forest represents a new approach in preschool and school pedagogics which is based on experiential learning. Within the framework of the project, numerous workshops for children and teachers from kindergartens and primary schools werer carried out in the area of LAG The Heart of Slovenia. The purpose of the workshops was to help children and adults get acquainted with the forest and the meaning of spending free time there as well as with the sustainable forest treatment and preservation of natural heritage. In addition to workshops, the project was presented at a professional event, an exhibition was organised with the theme of the forest and results of the projects, and study materials as well as a brochure was prepared. The project encourages innovativeness and creativity among youth. The broader public was informed about the project through media publications.
