Charcoal Production in the Charcoal Land

Project contents: Charcoal production in Dole pri Litiji is one of the most important elements of intangible or living cultural heritage in the Heart of Slovenia. 20 charcoal burners are still active in the Charcoal Land; however, the Brinovec homestead also deals with the representation of a charcoal clamp preparation and implantation of workshops for different groups of visitors. With the implementation of the LAG project, a suitable area was prepared for the presentation of charcoal production to individual visitors and groups. Visitors are able to see a charcoal clamp, forest villa, the presentation of the charcoal production, and the exhibited tools inside the shed, all in one place. Within the framework of the project, a presentation film with the theme of charcoal production was made, a photography exhibition was set up, a presentational brochure was prepared, a promotional event was organised, and IKT equipment needed for the presentation of charcoal production to the visitors and for documenting charcoal production was bought.
