Expanding the Network of Local Products in the Area of LAG "The Heart of Slovenia"

Project contents: Over the past few years, the cooperative Jarina has established itself as a coordinator of the network for local food self-sufficiency in the Heart of Slovenia as well as at a wider national level. With the project called “Expanding the Network of Local Products in the Area of LAG "The Heart of Slovenia”, the cooperative Jarina wished to expand its network of local self-sufficiency following the approach "from region for region". During the implementation of the project, new tenderers of local products were included in the network on the basis of analysis of sales amounts of the existent and potential suppliers. A manual with measures of quality was created and local products were distributed to customers four times a week by a vehicle which was equipped with promotional stickers. Existing sales paths were supported with a new sales place at the marketplace. The website www.jarina.si was also be created.
