Fruit Processing and Promotion of the Pr’ Španc Farm for Local Self-Sufficiency

Project contents: The Pr’ Španc Farm has expanded its existing offer by introducing fruit processing. Their meadows are again serving their primary purpose. Within the framework of the project, they rearranged the room for fruit processing so that it is in accordance with the standards of food processing: they set up double lift door and purchased a line of products for apple and pear processing (elevator with fruit soap, press machine with a compressor and high-pressure cleaner, pasteurization machine, inox counter with a trough). They created a new local product, apple juice from the farm. They created the website www.prspanc.si for their own promotion, they presented themselves at local events in the Lukovica Municipality and at events in the area LAG The Heart of Slovenia. Two pilot workshops for school groups have been organised and a guided tour of the farm with the presentation of fruit processing and a workshop for local society of the rural women.
